Changing Lives Through Access: Formula

“This program has changed my life because we couldn’t buy milk for her, it keeps many children from dying from malnutrition.” Each week, we hear mothers, fathers, aunts, and grandmothers express their thankfulness for Potter & Clay Ministries’ support that purchases formula to help keep their babies not only alive, but growing and thriving!”

Potter & Clay Ministries’ formula program supports families who are caring for a baby who cannot be breastfed but otherwise have no access to safe and complete nutrition. 

With Haiti’s economy crumbling, inflation continues to rise. This means things like formula, which were already expensive, are doubling in price. When mothers cannot breastfeed, or babies are being cared for by someone other than their mother, this usually means that babies are given things like crumbled crackers and water or various types of fruit juice to give them energy. 

Part of Potter & Clay’s mission is to stop this cycle and provide support to these families through formula. It is so rewarding to see babies stay WITH their families, where they belong, as a result of our formula program. Generous donations make this possible and light up faces like Rosemitha’s weekly!
